This listing is for month one of the Folklore Fade club 2025. This month takes inspiration from several aquatic-based elements of fairytale storytelling. Picture deep blues of the ocean, mermaid tails, mysterious water beings, adventures of the deep.

I’m so excited to share the details for the Dystopic Fibre yarn club for 2025: FOLKLORE FADE.
Many years ago I studied English Literature and Language at Glasgow University, my dissertation focused on an analysis of the use of conceptual metaphor within a selection of specific fairytales. I loved the lessons wrapped in tales and will now explore these themes through the medium of mini colourways!
This monthly minis yarn club will consist of 10 x 20g mini skeins. Each set will move through shades in a gradient style. These sets are available in both 4ply and DK. Please see the options at the bottom of this listing for more info.
All of these fade sets are able to stand alone and all 12 months will work together to form a continuous journey through multiple colours. This means the Folklore Fade sets will work for smaller project knitters (such as hats, socks) as well as larger ongoing project knitters (such as blankets, larger shawls, garments etc).
The schedule for this club will be as follows: each listing for the next month will go live mid-month and I will close these listings at the end of the month. This will allow me to keep a close eye on the dyeing process and ensure the club continues as planned.
